Sonic & SEGA ALL-STARS RACING is a better Banjo game than nuts and bolts. (the xbox 360 version with banjo in if you didn't know)
i have to agree.. with almost 90 percent of the comments on here. it sucked ass. i was looking foward to having a great time, turning into retarded washing machines, and mini ants (which i loved so much) but experience a half hour of making a gay-ass car. another half hour after that, and i sold the game back to game stop

I thought Nuts & Bolts was, in itself, a fun and addictive game. As a Banjo game, however, it is complete and utter shit. I'm not even going to get into bitching about the overturn from platforming to vehicle-based gameplay, 'cause that's been covered dozens of time, but the eschewing of quality music is what bothers me. The orchestrated pieces of the original and Tooie were foot-tappingly incredible, thick and powerful...but the music in this game is just weak...and boring. I don't understand HOW they could fuck up Banjo music...but they did.

Banjo kazooie used to be about exploration, bad but laughable puns and simple melody. The entire premise of the game was overturned, ground up, and discarded. Not to mention, after waiting a decade for that goddamn stop'n'swap shit to pull through, the best they could give us was fuzzy dice and a fucking fishbowl? Fuck you, rare.

Nuts and Bolts sold out BK's soul for the all-mighty dollar. With platforming gone, everything that made Banjo-kazooie Banjo-Kazooie is gone, and that gaping hole was filled with half-finished mechanics, more build-a-car nonsense, and laughable plot-lines. The challenges were ridiculous, the over-all plot pitiable, and was quite obviously nothing more than microsoft's attempt to cash in on one of the most entertaining console franchises of the 90's. The game is so painful to play that i simply cannot stand to play it for more than a few minutes at a time before being forced to quit or risk throwing my 360 out of the window. If Rare is smart, and wishes to salvage the image of their star bear, they will make banjo-threeie, ignoring Nuts and Bolts in the continuity, and make it properly, complete with BK's soul.

Also, for those complaining about the game, it was actually a very fun game. You guys are so stuck to the original, I agree with all of you it was a great game, but without change the series will die anyway. I think they did an absolutely great job on this game, and I would most definitely enjoy another one of the similar concept in the future, but perhaps after they do another platform Banjo game.
this shouldn't even be called Banjo-Kazooie, because it's not Banjo-Kazooie at all. The purpose of the game changed, we liked exploring totally different worlds, collecting jigsaws and we were used to basic moves we don't have anymore. They could do alteast like in Tooie (basic moves with new moves). Well, that vehicule thing was a good idea, maybe the theme of one word on 8 or 9 different worlds, but not a good idea for the whole game. People shouldn't creat a game when they know nothing about it.
Loved the remixed banjo land music but even that isn't enough for anyone to like this load of crap.
the truth is the N&B isnt that bad of a game. its a big change for the original players. i would know. this game made my childhood. the only bad thing about this game is that you dont have your powers. even after you get them back at the end. but i do think the series should return to the original format of playing. the vehicles was a good a idea but i really want the original powers back. also they should have included some past worlds instead of putting all of them in banjo land. but if there is and i hope there is a 4th game. there should be something like a virus that pops up in logs factory and grunty uses the virus to cause trouble again

Rare started to screw up as soon as the gamecube came out. All they did was make star fox adventures and then what? What happend to those titles such as donkey kong racing? I think its a great change of pace, and i like the customization and vehicles. But I do agree that there could stand to be a little more platforming.
